iPARENT
iPARENT is designed to provide you with tools to help your student not only succeed but excel during their high school career.
This program is designed for high school junior and seniors at least 16 years of age who have already decided on attending college. The program offers students the opportunity to see if UC Irvine is the right university for them. Participants will experience university life first hand by spending a night in the residence halls with a current UCI undergraduate student. The visit usually begins at noon with optional campus and residential housing tours and concludes at noon the following day. During their stay, students have the opportunity to experience life in the residence halls, have meals in the dining commons, attend their host's classes, and learn more about the many clubs, activities, and resources that UC Irvine has to offer. See Mrs. Ortega in the Guidance Office for an application.
UCSD Academic Connections: This is 3-week pre-college academic and residential experience targeted to highly motivated, high achieving, college-bound high school students, grades 9-12. The program invites students to explores the best UCSD has to offer.
The dates for the Summer 2010 program are July 11 - 31,2010. Applications will be available on-line in late November 2009.
Counselors
In order to effectively provide services to all of our students, student's first contact should be with their assigned counselor. In cases when the assigned counselor is not available, please know that ALL of the counselors have an open door in times of urgency and crisis.
In order to serve our community more efficiently, we do suggest scheduling an appointment so that we can assure you and your student uninterrupted time with the counselor.
