WOW WORDS #8

SEMESTER 2
This week root word is VAL, which means strength. The words of the week are equivalent, invalid, prevalent, validate, and valid.

During flu season, John had caught a cold and had to get a valid prescription from his doctor for his medicine. At the pharmacy, John learned that it was prevalent to take two equivalent doses of different medicines if the doctor recommended it. John thought that he would recuperate within a couple of days, but his assumptions were invalid. After two long weeks of taking his medicine, his cold had disappeared and validated that it took longer than expected to get better.
