Principal's Welcome
September 1, 2007Dear Mount Miguel Parents and Students, On behalf of the entire Mount Miguel High School staff, welcome to the 2007-08 school year! Whether you are a new or returning Matador, we have worked hard to prepare for your return. It is our sincere hope that you have every opportunity to make new friends, take new classes, achieve new goals, and participate in a variety of sports, clubs and extra curricular activities. As your principal, I hope to get to meet each of you as I walk the halls of our great school. I am so proud to be your principal, and will work hard to support students, parents and staff as we build upon our past successes to achieve an even greater future. One way to ensure a cooperative effort between students, parents, and staff, is to keep everyone informed. Mount Miguel will continue to provide parent newsletters, progress reports, report cards, and notices of special events and activities. But beyond that, we encourage each student and parent to personally get involved in the school! Students can join a school team or club, get involved in ASB, or volunteer as an office or classroom aide. Parents can volunteer here at school, join the PTSA or ELAC, become an athletic team booster, or attend evening programs. We value each student and family here at Mount Miguel, and welcome your participation and partnership during the 2007-08 school year. Please take a moment to read the Mount Miguel Student Handbook for it outlines expectations for student behavior and explains most school policies and procedures. Have a happy and successful school year!
